Guide

A pipeline is a named set of stages a deal moves through - for example, a sales pipeline with New, Qualified, Proposal, Won, and Lost. Pipelines belong to a single brand, so you'll need a brand selected before creating one.

Stages

Creating a pipeline starts you off with a sensible default: New, Qualified, and Proposal as open stages, plus Won and Lost as closed ones. Every stage is fully editable afterwards - rename it, reorder it, remove it, or add more - and each is marked as Open, Won, or Lost, which controls whether deals sitting in it count as active.

Deals

A deal has a title, an optional value and currency, an expected close date, and optional links to a single contact and company. Notes are free text. Deals don't currently support tags or custom fields, unlike contacts and companies.

The kanban board

Open a pipeline to see its board: one column per stage, ordered left to right, each showing its deal count and total value. Drag a deal card into another column to move it between stages - that's persisted immediately. Reordering cards within the same column is visual only and isn't saved, since order within a stage isn't meaningful data in Envoy.

Each card has quick actions for marking a deal Won or Lost without dragging it - doing so also moves the deal into whichever stage on that pipeline is marked as the corresponding Won or Lost stage, if one exists. A closed deal can be reopened from the same menu, which returns it to an open state without automatically picking a stage for you.
