Billing
GuideBilling lives at Settings → Billing. Every member can see it - current plan, usage against your limits - but only an admin sees the buttons to actually change anything.
How plans are priced
Each plan is a flat monthly fee per organisation that includes a set number of seats, with extra seats available at a per-seat add-on price. There's no per-seat-only pricing and no annual billing option - see pricing for the current tiers, seat allowances, and limits.
Your trial
New organisations start on a 14-day trial with full Growth-tier access and no card required - see Setup for how signup works. There's no countdown shown anywhere except the trial end date on the Billing page itself. Nothing manual happens when it ends: the next time anyone in your organisation loads the app past that date, it quietly starts enforcing the Free plan's limits instead. Nothing is deleted or locked - existing data stays exactly as it was, only new activity is now subject to Free's caps.
Hitting a limit
Free is the only plan with real enforced caps - seats, contacts, brands, and outreach emails per month; the paid tiers are generous enough in practice not to need hard numbers here (again, see pricing). Reaching a cap blocks creating anything further past it - you'll see a message telling you to upgrade - but it never touches what you already have. Downgrading works the same way in reverse: if a downgrade puts you over a lower plan's limit, your existing data is untouched; you just can't add more until you're back under it or upgrade again.
Buying extra AI credit
Managed AI credit renews monthly with your plan, but if you run through it before the month resets, an admin can buy more from Settings → Billing without waiting or upgrading - see AI Drafting for what draws on that credit.
Upgrading and managing your subscription
Upgrade to... hands off to Stripe Checkout. Once you're on a paid plan, that button becomes Manage billing, which opens Stripe's own billing portal - that's also where you'll find invoice history and update your payment method, rather than anywhere inside Envoy itself.
Self-hosting
None of this applies if you're self-hosting: there's no plan, no cap, and no Billing section in Settings at all. Self-hosted Envoy is free permanently, with nothing to configure or work around.
